Description:	Bosendorfer Johann Strauss Edition Grand model 1907, serial # 17644, 6ft 2in, 188cm full restored and equipped with brand new Renner action/hammers/dampers The Model Johann Strauss is inspired by the instrument owned by the master. It is a combination of elements taken from different periods in history, and they are reflected in the beautifully carved legs, the ornamental fretwork of the music desk, the decorated inner side of the fallboard as well as of maple inlays on the top and key lid as well as on the wall around. The under side of the lid and inner rim is finished Maple wood, and the Lyre is created in the shape of the instrument of the classic Greek period, bending the bow to the beginnings of the occidental music culture, and manufacturing of musical instruments, in which Bösendorfer plays such an important role. More about this time, please read on my side in section "about us" . What was made in restoration? No expense was spared in the rebuild. This piano is like new, only half the price of a new Bosendorfer - just complete finished, new pin block, new bass and Roeslau treble strings, nickel pins, brand new Renner action, dampers and key board, the best you can get in Germany. The frame was sand blasted, grounded and varnished. Top lid, the wall around, key cover and the lyre have got as ornament Maple inlays. The touch is crisp and responsive. This is not only a wonderful optic, than a heaven for the ears and hearts. The tone is rich and well balanced, mellow and characteristic of Bosendorfer typical sound. An instrument built by Bosendorfer will always be an aesthetic asset of lasting value. I wish someone gets it, who cares and plays on it with such an enthusiasm, like the restoration was made.
