This Bechstein made in year 1901 represents the piano technology at the point, where the builder's art had been perfected. The tone of the piano is full and rich, it has not just an instrument quality only, than an invaluable investment for you and your next generation with growing value, due to already antique. This is a world class piano and represents a great opportunity for the new lucky owner. It is impressive that this antique piano can satisfy the 21st century pianist. With proper care, this piano could live into the next century. Restoration performed work includes: Strings, Strung Back and Frame - Remove old strings and send off pattern of Bass strings for production. - Strip down and prepare frame. - Re-guild frame and associated parts - Recover all bearing parts in original color and spec. - Restring using best quality German wire. - Supply & fit newly made Bass Strings made by the recognized experts on "period" Strings. - All using best quality German made Wrest pins (tuning pins) - Chip - up and tune to A440 HZ Action & Keys - Clean and inspect all parts and replace or repair any damaged assemblies - Recover, using correct color and specified felt, Action Frame and related parts. - Strip down dampers and Damper Action and recover etc. - Re-Cover checks in best Doe skin. - Supply & fit new Hammer Heads made in Germany by the makers of Bechstein parts. - Re-assemble and regulate to correct Touch Weight. Soundboard - Strip and re-polish - Clean bridges burnish - Carry out minor board repairs Casework - Dismantle, chemical strip old polish - Carry out necessary repairs - Ebony and polish in polyester finish. - Polish all brass work - Replace missing brass parts The restoration detailed above was carried out during this year 2011. As the experts among you will be aware this is a one off design, easily noticeable by the brass guild featured.
